You might have put the friction plate in the wrong way round!
Normally says on the friction plate flywheel side or gearbox side.
Is the pedal rock hard as in cant be depressed or does it feel like normal (i.e. with a bit of pressure) or does it go straight to the floor with no pressure?

For definition - Release bearing, clutch housing (spring plate), friction plate. Believe it or not you might just have got the friction plate the wrong way round.
If not, did you loose fluid out of the clutch slave cylinder, if so, it needs bleeding.
