Question Newage Gearbox, Diffs And Shafts?

What is involved in fitting these to a classic? I have heard it's pretty easily done?

I am looking at buying a classic Impreza and using Newage running gear since it's much stronger as I want to be able to launch the car and give it some abuse on track!

Thanks

Alan

i have a full newage running gear in my classic. put it in after i snapped a rear half shaft in two. it is much stronger and fairly easy to fit. it is a two man job though. the six speed is one heavy bastid.

Newgae 5-speed is pretty much identical to classic 5, no benefit, I assume you mean 6 speed conversion?

AIUI the phase 1 engines will not bolt to a phase 1.5-> transmission, but with a 98 that shouldn't be an issue.

Cheers for the info. Wouldn't try a gearbox myself, I'm not a tank!

Yes, it would be the running gear from a newage Sti. I'd be using a MY99/00 car, which I presume is a phase 2 since my Terzo(98) was 1.5?
