Anyone done an 06 UK DCCD Box conversion?
Still looking at options on a 6 speed. One option is to use a 6 Speed MY06 Box from a UK STi - has anyone done a conversion with one of these?
As i understand it the dccd is slightly different - will this work on a normal after market controller? The DCCD split is 41:59 split on these boxes - does this make much difference to the functionality of the dccd?? I've read that in some cases the speedo pickup is in a different place - is this true for the 06 box?
Any help would be great!
Cheers

Ended up getting a Late 05 6 Speed Dccd Box - It’s in and all works. Well chuffed with it! Gear change is even tighter and more precise that the TY754 RA box I had before and the ratios suit the 2.5 better.
Bits I needed were:
Box
Diff – Luckily I already had the backend fitted from a Type r so could use my original drive shafts with the new R180.
Prop
Stub shafts, clips and oil seals - You will cry when you order them!!
6 Speed Starter (to fit 6 speed flywheel)
Flywheel And Clutch to fit 6 speed (5 Speed will fit)
Lots of advice from Roger Clark and Api
To do a proper job I also got an updated 6 speed gearbox mount.
The guy that sold me the box also sent a modified gearbox cross member to bring the box down 5mm lower to give it some more space in the transmission tunnel. Initially we didn’t use it and just put the standard 5 speed one back on but the clearance was really tight. I think with the state of our roads it would have hit.
Hope this helps someone taking on the same sort of thing.

Hi, just fitted aUK STi 6 speed DCCD to my 02 Bugeye!
Gearbox code: ty856wg8ka
Just like scooby luke I needed stub shafts, clips and oil seals so to use my oem 5 speed front drive shafts (that was only half the fun!!)
I'm using the standard R160 rear diff and drive shafts from the bugeye as the R180 diff uses thicker shafts that DONT fit the WRX oem hubs. Luckily for me my R160 was the same 3.54 ratio as the R180. I've heard you can use spec b legacy rear drive shafts to fit the R180 diff to the standard WRX hubs?????
I'm running with the delux DCCD.Pro controller with OEM auto/manuel switch and roller ball. Great spec dccd unit and very easy to fit. Email Jeff at sales@dccdpro.com for tech info very helpfull.
Oh and yes you will cry lots!!!!
