Could anyone tell me where to locate the knock sensor on a MY98?

Thanks Stuart

On an MY94 it's infront of the Throttle Cable connection to the intake, it's quite deep down so a long extension is required.
It's held in place with a 12mm bolt.

Scott

There appears to be 3 sensors around the point where EJ20 is cast into the block just below the throttle linkage, is it one of these? There are 2 which are bolted into a cast aluminium pipe which leads to the radiator and there is one bolted straight down into the block with a large head on it. Which is the correct one if it is any of these?

Not sure Stuart, as mine is an MY94.

On mine the Knock sensor is almost directly below the throttle cable, is black, about the size of a 10p (but fatter) with the bolt going through the middle.

There is only 1 wire running to it, as I belive it's ground is via it's connection with the block.
