I have an STi (P1) backbox fitted to a standard system on an MY97. What are the options and likely cost for replacing the centre pipe and cat? I'd want a straight (literally) replacement, no cutting and welding, so the original could be put back on if the need arose. Would noise levels increase to any degree?

Thanks.

I wacked a Magnex center section on my MY97, the one with the resonator. There was no noise increase, slight power gains though, nothing wonderful. Put a KnN 57i and the results were more noticable with both the BB and CS. Just went straight on, no knocking or fuss.

Think they're about £110, might get a cheaper second hand one on here.

Cheers

Mike
