metal on metal sound and slight wheel judder when pulling off (ok once its done it)
ok i have a my98 uk box diff and drive shafts with a new exedy (not cheap ebay one) clutch
(there fitted into a my94 jdm car but i dont think that makes a diff to my problem.)
as i pull off forward or backwards theres a metal on metal spinning noise for a few seconds along with a slight wheel judder ( noticable if you look at the front wheels when i do it )
once ive moved off it dont do it again or if im at crawling speeds it dont do it eaither,
i thought it might have been a duff d/s so i replaced them but its still the same.
anybody have any ideas. it didnt do it before i changed the engine and box

Are you sure you have the matching rear diff ratio for the gearbox ?
Wheel bearing ?

diff is 100% correct to the g/box and both hubs/d/shafts etc have been changed to find the problem and its still there,
could it be the layshaft bearing?
