Question

I'm fairly new to all this, so any help would be appriciated.
I've got a completely standard P1 at the moment, and am looking at getting a ScoobySport Back Box. I realise this has probably been discussed a thousand times, but could anyone tell me how fitting one affects the following :-
1) Insurance (do I need to tell them?)
2) BHP
3) Subaru Warrenty
4) MOT (is it still legal)

Thanks

Chris

1 - yes, some not all will charge a small/large increase for it
2 - small increase 5-10bhp
3 - intact if a scoob dealer fits it
4 - yes

Point 3.

A Subaru dealer does not need to fit your SS backbox for your warranty to remain intact.

According to the UK warranty, you should be okay as the non-official part (SS backbox) only voids the warranty of any part it directly affects. Or something like that.

Check http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm for a better explanation.

Chris

This is the only true independant, "before and after" exhaust test that I know of. It was carried out in front of about 30 people, mostly members of this bbs, 3 years ago.

The car has a similar original output to your own.
