Hi,

What are your thoughts of the BPM Twister MkIII back-box? I know they are supposed to be _LOUD_ but do they give a good performance increase? (over a Prodrive box)

Here is some text from the BPM website...

Radical patented chamber that maximizes gas extraction with no packing being utilized.

Low to high power with smooth power delivery & quicker spool up

The Twister Mkiii is built utilizing tig welds for race applications or the discerning user. Constructed from SUS 304 Stainless or HPC coated [internal and external]. Utilized by the leading Australian V8 Super Touring Cars & Australia's FASTEST ¼ mile street registered vehicle, its ability to maintain the edge has been proven countless of times in podium victories. It won't "blow out" due to its design. Available for Normally aspirated & Turbo-charged vehicles, the muffler system is available for both RS and WRX.
Subaru Impreza MY93-00, Subaru WRX MY01, WRX 2002. Nissan 200sx, Nissan GT-S, Nissan GT-R

Firstly... does the technology work, what exactly has been patented?
Secondly... What is 'blow out'?

thanks,
Matt.

I saw a 10bhp increase over my magnex center and BB by sticking on the BPM 3in center and TW3 BB. This was with a Magnex single dump DP.

Amazing exhaust, I just love the sound.... want mine back

Paul,

You can't have it back

I'm not sure of any power gains with it fitted to my car, just sounds awsome.

Cheers
Phil.

P.S I'm thinking of removing it, if my car goes in the autotrader soon, so if you really want it back Paul......

Very, very loud and resonates the car to bits, unlike proper exhaust systems

It will drive you mad....

Sold my BPM system for £100 - full system - bargain

LOL, less efficient with bung in than normal exhaust, more with bung out but painfully loud by comparison.

I asked greg at bpm about 5 times for the patent number so that I could order the specification and see exactly what had been claimed, funnily enough, it never materialised!
