anyone out there help with check engine light suddenly coming on at 6000 rpm in second gear and staying on. car runs fine and starts next morning but check light still on. dealer plugs it in and reads crank sensor error code but then says cannot be that or car would not run. dealer cancelled check light and said let them know if it happens again. anyone else had this?

 

xerxes, not had the same problem, but perhaps it is an intermitent fault with the crank sensor, ie gives a momentary 'glitch' and then contimues to function OK, else lie they say the engine would not work.

Do you know how to reset the indicator light, as mine is on all the time?
