I fitted my HKS system myself, although I used my brothers pit in his garage, that be can be done easy enough on a drive way I guess.
The downpipe bit I'm not so sure on, wouldn't fancy it myself. Heard horror stories of bolts snapping off

Only thing to lookout for is the massive increase in noise

Glaring neighbours, bill, etc...

And use loads of CRC on the bolts. Let it soak for awhile. Try tweaking any tough nut up (yes tighter) before undoing them. Tends to free the thread better.

Fitting on your driveway could be a bit awkward because of the nuts on teh downpipe. If you had the patience and the tools it could be done, but its probably easier to pay a local place to fit it for you. Plus if they break a stud then they have to sort it.

Try calling subaru4you as they seem to frequently work at the weekends as well. Reading/Newbury area - not perfect, but not too bad for you!

Cool

Mr impatient

It is dead easy to fit the centre section and backbox (its all 1 bit for HKS isn't it?) on your drive, should only take half an hour at most. Then spend the rest of the day driving around listening to the noise, convincing yourself that the new-found quickness isn't placebo Then get it booked into the garage ASAP for the downpipe

Or do the first bit, then spend the rest of the day swearing under the bonnet, srcaping your knuckles, snapping bolts, more swearing and racing against the light and the weather (it will only rain if you snap a bolt, mind)

The choice is yours!

FULLUM.....I'm your man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I fitted a complete HKS system last Saturday...I did it on a 2 poster ramp without too much hassle..the worst bit was finding a bolt to fit in the spare lamda sensor hole!!!!!!! that took longer than fitting the damn thing!!!!!!

However...I don't like the MASSIVE!! noise it makes and I'm looking to sell it already..so don't buy one till you read this!!!!!!!!!! It's only done about 100 miles so its still shiney!!!!!!

please let me know if you're interested
what price have you been given on a new one????
regards, stratty

MMMMM

HKS Down pipe

I removed mine, its good, better than standard but still has a plate over the wastegate outlet area, get yourself a propper twin dump down pipe, BPM for excample or go for a big bore single dump pipe without any restrectors, Scooby sport for example.

Before you ask, yes I have the full HKS system but use the scooby sport 3 inch down pipe instead of the HKS one.

All the above are only my thoughts.

As for doing it on the drive, good luck
