Default fly wheel help

hi all i have got my engine out of my 1994 wrx uk affter the big end went,looking at the fly wheel it has tiny cracks on face plate ,whats that all about?also the replacement engine has the same thing but alot worse,why has this happen thanks all

Tiny surface cracks are quite normal when a clutch has been slipping.

After having it skimmed the surface should be clear.
