Urgent ty752 and ty745 Gearbox help required
I know that there are many threads on here regarding this but nothing is clarified.
Can someone confirm for me that these two boxes are interchangeable, if so do I also require any extra parts for the exchange.
Original Gbox code TY752VN6AA
I have a replacement box which I intend to fit, its from a later car TY754VN1AA will these boxes directly exchange. I have checked the transmission charts but these two dont have anything listed, I need to know if the rear diff/shafts require replacement and do i require anything else?

hi there mate the TY754VN1AA is for the later classic impreza and the outher one is for the early one as far as i know thay are not interchangeable

check ratio charts, if there compatable it fits no issues other than above.

did it last weekend. straight swap when there both vn`s. starter mounts with one bolt. if you want it to be done right you just need to run a tap through second hole.
unfortunatly my ty754 that i got second hand is bolloxed too.
that will be 6 gearbox on and offs in 18 months. im about to burn it or use car scrapage scheme.
oh ...i did need to swap over the electric cable that mounts from loom to the two round connectors for i presume reverse and neutral too.
