Folks,

The box on my rally car has just been split due to a noisy whinning in 2nd gear after my last rally. It has a 5sp Modena Dog box in at the moment.

Im not the most technical when it comes to Subaru gearboxes, however, i have been told that the input shaft is worn and that 2nd gear has some marks on it. The input shaft houses 1st, 2nd and reverse.

Ive been told i need a new input shaft, 1st and 2nd gears and dog rings and i think the big gear opposite 1st or 2nd?? Does that make any sense?

If any1 has a spare box they maybe selling or spare Modena parts or some advice on where to go for them, i would appreciate it!

Modena parts are from TEG sport TEG Sport front page.

I know that Gavin Ruler at Fuzznag had a secondhand Modena box for sale a little while ago so he might be worth a try if you wanted a replacement box.

I have just rebuilt my Quaife box for a similar reason and it wasnt cheap im afraid.
