Can the LSD from a spare Impreza Turbo's rear diff housing be fitted into the front gearbox's 'open' (non limited) diff location to give LSD function at front as well as rear?
I know this would mean playing mix'n'match with the driveshafts, but I find they interchange easily outboard of the pot-joint bodies anyway.
I'm putting engine & gearbox into mid-engine location for 'kit' car (gearbox behind rear wheels) 2wd, and want LSD. Any tips/experiences appreciated. Will answer all emails on the subject. Many thanks, Richard
