Default question about my diff

hello everyone i went out and got a fully rebuilt scooby wrx it was a import shell 93 plate, but everything was out of a 00 english car engine gearbox, ect.

I only done 70 miles and i just changed from 1st to 2nd and there was a big bang, my girlfriends dad works for the rac and he said the rear diff had gone.

I was just driving it back to my house, was driving realy slow and then i heard another bang and the car wouldnt move at all, might have been the front diff gone aswel or a drive shaft i havnt looked into that yet.

We had been thinking if he lefted the rear diff on which would have been a 4.1 and the engine that got put in the diff was 3.54 could that have made the diff go in the first place

Also where can i get a rear 3.54 diff from cheapish

hope someone can help me thanks dan
