Centre diff settings on 08 STI UK
Can any one explain which way the auto - and auto + settings work on the new STi 08 please?
And also the manual settings?
Does the locking centre diff in manual mean it moves power / torque to the rear wheels, is that the same but to lesser degree in auto +, or have I got that wrong? Or just limits wheel slip between front/rear??
The car manual only says one is better for straight roads and one for twisties / poor surfaces, or something similar, doesn't mention where the power / torque split is set!
Basically, in auto ( with PPP now ) I find the nose comes up a lot as if front wheels are doing the majority of the driving / power delivery, and on full centre diff lock the car is flatter. I wanna reduce the nose lift on power...
( Also some torque steer from front if powering through a corner! )
Explanations welcome please!
