gearbox problem quick question

Default gearbox problem quick question

hi people i trashed my gearbox on my 95 wrx turbo import.
the gearbox code is ty752vb3fa as stated on the vin plate..now i have just bought another box that has the exact code as the one stated to be in the car. but i have just removed the gearbox out of my subaru and its a compleatly diffrent code the code on the box that was in there is ty752vn1ba which i belive is a subaru legasy box will my new one fit in which will be the correct code as what is stated on my car.any help on this one would be much appriciated people kind regards ben

hi mate, from the code. its the same box (ty752) it may even have the same ratios too
here is a link:
GearHack: Subaru Transmission Chart

check up the code. it will tell you the ratios
on both boxes mate.

but it will be a strait fit

cheers for that mate i did take a look but it does not have the code TY752VN1BA it only had TY752VN2BA i am really hoping it will fit as the new box cost me a few quid and cant return it..i have looked throught a few of these charts and they are all the same but cant find the code im looking for

i did the same

i have a uk 95, witch had a (ty752) type box, and changing to a p1 box (ty754) with diff
in the end, i even had to get different rear drive shafts.

the box your changing are the same.
