reverse light on

can anyone tell me why does the reverse light come on when your go into 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th ?

that will be a knackered reversing ligth switch in the gear box, or possibly the cable going to the switch shorting out.

or you have the neutral switch and reverse light switch in the wrong locations and they need swapping over

so if its knackered will the box have to *** out and if not will it cost me
