just recieved the above and glanced at the fitting instructions.if there is one thing I hate doing with cars it's wiring,so any help/tips appreciated.fitting to a UK MY00.
I just want to double check a few things.I was going to take both display feeds for power from the ciggy lighter and earth both to an ECU kick plate bolt.
Knocklink-grey shrouded wire to knock sensor plug, with one brown/black and one black (sensor earth) wire.the knock sensor plug has a no.1 and no.2 terminal.does it matter what way these go in?I am also using a new Knocklink sensor, which I believe is best fitted under the intercooler.is there a specific torque that the knock sensor must be fitted at?
Lambdalink-grey shrouded wire with one earth green and one signal white wire from it.as I understand it green is to be earthed to block and the white is to be tapped into the lambda probe sender wire either at ECU or probe itself.as the green is to be earthed at the engines block I think it will be easier to connect the white at the probe.at the ECU,it is I think,pin21 and read from another post that the sender wire at the probe is the one with the gold terminal at wiring loom to lambda probe plug.is this correct?
thanks

Going better than before but still not 100%.
Link still to be fitted so that gives me something to look forward to...I'll take you out for a wee blast on Sunday and you can see for yourself. Might be interesting to get a before and after comparison from someone else's viewpoint.
See you at Crail!
Cheers,
Chris

T-UK,
Everything you need to know is here. Read Jan Shims post. That's what I followed, with no problems. Regarding those two wires, they go on anyway, it makes no diffrence. In the link there is also a pic. Wait for it to load.
