DCCD in 5MT from Type RA 555 MY96 how to check it
hi
i need to check DCCD in TY752VB4CA from STi Type RA 555 MY96.
how to do it.
If i put voltage (5Volt) to 1st pin and ground to 2nd pin of DCCD connector/plug what should happen? Will DCCD go in lock position or not?
Pls also tell me if i need to put 5Volt (couse this voltage controller is giving as i know) or i can put normal 12Volt as from battery ?
i need to check if DCCD is working correctly couse now it is not going to LOCK position i can say that nothing is happening at all once i use controller thumbwheel

If the dccd stops working electrically you will get either a green or orange flashing light [ cannot remember which ] on the indicator in the dash.
They do suffer from the dccd wiring going into the rear gearbox case chafing and wearing through. That can only be fixed by taking out the electro magnet that works the centre diff and having the wires replaced.
BUT - if you have no flashing light it would suggest that the electrics are still working and that the mechanical part of the dccd has stopped.
I think you need to take the 'box out and strip it to see what is going on.

tks David, i hv no STi clocks. My car is Impreza Turbo MY97 but with this gearbox, and i hv aftermarket controller - it is working correctly all wires were checked and measured with profi meter.
i wanted to check if electromagnet is working correctly, means mechanical check.
how to do it. if i take out the box and connect some voltage to DCCD plug should it move or block itself ?

ok today we checked the wires and from controller to box everything is ok, but....
there is 0 ohm once we test 2 wires from box
can anybody tell me what ohms should be on those 2 wires in the box - i heard that 2 ohms
i suppose that some wire from plus to LSD itself is broken inside the box
