noise when cold

Default noise when cold

when i cold start i get a squealing noise at about 1400rpm which goes when i press the clutch in, but goes away on its own when revs drop to 1100rpm and when warm there is no noise. any ideas?

It'll be the pilot bearing in the flywheel I expect [ assuming it isn't the obvious one of a fan belt.....

You'll need to take the box out and replace it if it really bothers you. It won't cure itself or get any better if you leave it. BUT it won't fall to bits and cause you problems for some while yet.
