Advise on next "sensible" mods....
#1
Hi,
I've had my MY96 scoob for a while now and have started the slipery slope of modifications.
* Blitz with piperX induction pipe
* Scoobysport BB and DP (dont want to remove ALL the cats)
* AP Uprated Clutch
I am currently waiting for the Boost gauge to come into stock @ scoobymania so I can then buy a Dawes MBC.
1) Do I really need an AFR if I use the Dawes?
ok.. I dont have masses of money so I was wondering if theres any little "tweaks" I could do for reasonable improvements.
2) Would an STi TMIC make much difference?
3) Are there any other mods I could do that wouldn't cost the earth (I've considered the LINK but £700 + £95 insurance put me off a bit)
Thanks.
Diz

I think its fair to say that most scoobies run rich - mine seems to on WOT, but if you run tall you can see it leaning out.
However, not everyone's car is the same & if you're going to play with boost then I think AFR is a minimum, £20 for the sake of an engine ain't much. Many others on the BBS would probably recommend Knock & EGT also.

If you want to go a step further with the brakes I can reccommend the Pagid grooved disks and FR/blue pads for 2pots - with the braided hoses and 5.1 fluid they're not bad, relatively speaking
A distinct improvement over standard anyway
