Default Jammed Diff???

ALright Guys,

I took delivery of an imported 22B last night and after having a wee roll up and down the DCCD the rear diff seemed to be sticking until I fully opened it up??

My mate was watching and it seemed that one of the wheels was starting to stick and then the car would thud to a stop..........bit scary but I put the DCCD to '-' and it seemed to unlock and was fine. I'm not too scared to play with it

Anybody any ideas?

Cheers,
Chris

That sounds to me like the dccd doing what it is supposed to do. When you roll the thumb wheel into red zone, it locks all 4 wheels so that they travel at the same speed. That makes all the clonking. Nothing to worry about at all.

And they usually give a small clonk as they unlock, once you turn the thumbwheel back down the scale.

Good luck - David - APi
