Default Stiff clutch identification

Many moons ago, I had a clutch on my MR2 Turbo that was particularly difficult to push to the floor (by design) - basically you needed some serious leg muscles to operate it! Horrible to use in slow-moving traffic in the beginning, but a joy to use after a while.

However...memory not being a strong point with me, I cannot for the life of me remember what type of clutch it was. A paddle clutch? Twin plate?

Cutting to the chase, thanks to some spirited starts at Santa Pod recently, I've wrecked my current clutch and quite fancy another clutch with similar properties to my old MR2 one. Any ideas?
