Default Zero sports lighten flywheel warped surface

Envy Performance Ltd Gallery

Hopefully the link will provide the picture of the lighten flywheel I have. This flywheel does not have cut outs or large holes in which you can see where the extra weight has been taken out like other aftermarket flywheels.
But instead it is slightly thinner than the standard subaru flywheel.
The problem is that the surface is warped & needs to be skimmed/machined flat.
What I don't know is the minimum thickness of flywheel before it becomes scrap.
I don't want to waste money on machining it if its no good..

Warped? Are you sure?

Not just highspots?

The flywheels, if decent should have a decent amount of 'meat' on them for a fair few skims. They should not be warp.

My fault for wording it that way, but the diameter clutch surface on the flywheel.

A quick skim will fix most and we can do that for you here while U wait if you wish. We can even run it up on our balancer to make sure that it is Ok.

Castings have density problems, IE the cast may not be the same density over the whole area of the flywheel hence the weight could be off after the skim / lightening.

Best to check.

Call if I can help you
