Default Flywheel Compatibility

Hey Guys-

I have a 2002 WRX (EJ205) that needs a new clutch. I'm under the impression that from 97-05 all 5mts share the flywheel, clutch, etc as long as it's mounted to a 2.0 motor.

Is this correct? Am I way off the mark? Thanks for the help.

Yup, same clutch cover & friction plate

The flywheels do carry different part numbers (design & weight) but are dimensionally the same, so are interchangeable.
