Had a load of problems with my WRX 94 last 2/3 weeks .

In garage for a week with a non starting problem , garage couldnt resolve , but reduced symptons down to poor feed to the fuel pump. Spent all weekend testing the pump wiring to the pump and by some stroke of luck the fuel pumps receiving current and working , it appears to be bad earth.

However now I have got serious hesitation , spluttering at low revs idle , more problemtaic when cold but even when warm i am having to rev the engine to 3000 rpm to get it away from start with kangarooing ! Below 3000rpm in all gears its is strugling/ hesitate,however once above 3000rpm its back on song

The two problems may be linked however I have had no check engine light yet .

Anyone know what are the symptoms of a faulty idle speed control valve are ?

Anyone know what the sympton of a faulty throttle position senosr are or any other suggestions , I am keen to sort the fault myself as I am juast shelling out good money for mechanics to give me possibilites with no definite cure

Just an uneducated guess:

1. faulty lambda sensor
2. see 1.
3. possibly faulty MAF sensor.

I had the lamba sensor changed in November got it from a breakers yard ,what are the symptons of faulty lamba sensor I thought it was more related to poor fuel consumption.
