CRUNCHING FROM 3rd into 4th

Just bought 04 WRX with 23k on clock. Intermitent problem at higher revs when changing up from 3rd to 4th. Is this normal ?

no mate shouldnt be normal sounds like the synchro between them gears has gone api on here would be the best person to contact about it

Thanks Guys. Sorry for the delay in reply but just come back from hols. Car has been in Subaru main dealer for checking, apparently 4th gear is scored so they are replacing 3rd & 4th gears so hope to have car back this week. Dealer I bought car from is paying the bill, likely to be around £2k !!!!
