Question

I am going to fit a Dawes on my MY99 and need a boost gauge so I have been looking around on the net at the various types.

Traditional dial ones range from 30 to 130 quid. One that has caught my eye is the SPA dual Boost and temperature ( oil or water ) digital gauge. It has a programable warning light to come on when a dangerous boost level is reached, it also remembers the highest boost reading. This one costs about 140 quid but I would set it to measure the oil temp so its two gauges in one.

Does anyone have any opinions on which is the best gauge to go for in a Scooby ?

Cheers

The defi is the best IMHO and looks the nuts too.

Its also got a very useful feature which myself and Scott W used a lot when we set up our Dawes. The defi enables 40 secs of recording which you can then play back. Great as you don't have to concentrate on the gauge while your driving and you can then pull over and watch what its doing

Depends if you just want to read boost, or if you want bells and whistles as well.

I have just found this site, by Chiark

www.chiark.com/scooby/gauges.asp

makes very interesting reading, perhaps the Defi gauge is the one to go for.
