Default Legacy gearbox crunching?

hey guys. ive got a 92 gt legacy and it seems to crunch from 1st to 2nd when i change it higher revs, 3rd to 4th does it too but not as bad. downshifting to 2nd and 4th also crunches but 4th is not as bad either.. what could be wrong with my gearbox? would i need a new one or is this a simple fix?

also where abouts is the gearbox in my subaru exactly? i know where it is but ive got leaking oil onto one of the pipes on my turbo, and i dont think its from the engine since it hasnt lost any oil since ive had it. Im suspecting its my gearbox?

i would appreciate any help! thanks

When you press the clutch pedal does it fully disengage the clutch? I'm thinking that the pedal may need adjusting or you may need to look at the clutch cyclinder, either master or slave.

The gearbox is under the tunnel and will not be leaking oil on the turbo which is mounted much higher.

Wayne.
