Default MY99 Clutch

My UK MY99 scoob clutch has just started becoming a little slippy when pushed hard. I have looked about and it seems the Exedy organic uprated clutch is the way to go for me as I have no re-map (yet) and is pretty much standard apart from panel filter and decat. Am I looking at the right thing??? I have also seen this on ebay: Clutch for subaru

Can anyone tell me if that looks genuine as I have no idea???

Cheers

The Excedt Organic is the one to go for, very very slightly heavier pedal, but nice bite, as long as your not planning mega mods in the future anyway!

That LOOKS exactly like the one I have on mine.

If yours is juddery and needs a needs a flywheel reskim it may be worth upgrading to a 230mm (thats a 225mm) for the extra capability, and more importantly, the extra heat capacity!

Word of warning, there are lots of cheap imitations out there may look like exedy even have all the correct logo's, but ask yourself why are they so cheap, you will need the 230mm for the MY99, I bought a clutch from e-bay and learnt the hard way, but pay pal came good ,and I got my money back.
Visit the exedy web site all the info is on there.

Thanks fella. Hear many different things about E-Bay items and really needed confirmation. I have seen a forged lightweight flywheel from BOB at aztec on here and am condiering getting that to go with it!

I may get a future Mapping done to about 300 mark but can not afford it yet!! I hope this clutch will do for that - just in-case.

Hi Keith,

If you are looking for a standard replacement clutch the ebay ones will do the job. Once you start pushing 300s you'll want an uprated one (not off ebay).

Either way get a 230mm one. We'll be happy to supply you with one of our lightweight forged flywheels and/or uprated clutch.

Cheers,

Bob

I only paid £125 from a recognised specialist for my clutch, so £100 is not 'that' cheap as to be worrying.

Simon: That'll be a standard replacement clutch. His first post is about Exedy uprated organic clutches.

Cheers,

Bob
