Default Oil seals

Hi hope someone can help my gear box on my scooby has completley emptied of oil. looking at it i would say that its coming out between the prop shaft and box ive been told that this may be an oil seal. would this be hard to replace myself thanks.

there is an oil seal at the tail of the box right where the prop goes in and is very easy to change, which involves taking the prop shaft off.

on futher inspection it looks like the leak is coming from the first joining section in the gear box after the prop shaft is it ppossible to take this off while the gear box is still on the car? thanks
