PPP on MY97
#1
HI
Had my comptetly standard MY97 wagon now for 4 months and am now looking to pep things up a bit.
Has any body out there fitted a PPP to their MY97 ?
Is it worth the money for the power gains. What I`ve read so far is that the gains are not that much for this engine year compared to the earlier larger turbo`d engines.
I realy like the reports I`ve heard of the PPP BB that comes with it, but it`s an awfull lot to pay for just this.
Any advice greatly accepted.
Nick

Hi Nicky,
The proof's in the pudding as they say - have a look on dyno.scoobynet.co.uk. Power Engineering do an original ECU remap for this model year, tailored to your car and its mods. Have a look the graphs and see what you think.
I spoke to Mervin (at PE). Their favourite ECU for that model year has an '8S' id on it. He says they can get 270BHP / 260lbft from the 97/98MY UK with that ecu.
Hope this helps
