std head does not look good big restriction at valve throat heard not much of an increase in hp to be had here do not agree currently
doing some work on these heads once ive had chance to put them on the flow bench i can give you approx hp increase to be had 1 cfm x
0.43 x no cyl 4 = hp increase.I will keep you posted.

thanks smg. was only just thinking that no one had replied to this!
i was gonna try ported heads on my legacy turbo, it has the impreza engine, and has a mongoose f/s, chip, and filter, so thought it may be a worthwhile mod.
ill hang on for now to see if you come up with any good results.

thanks

Hi guys,

Trey Cobb over in the states has done a fair bit of subaru headjobs, if you'll pardon the expression, maybe he would be a good source of information on this issue?

Hi Adam

I'm in Shepperton, near Staines, any bench work is not a problem.

Steve, SMG race engines.
