hi, ok my car is driving me nuts. When you drive to about 3000rpm and leave go there's a really loud noise/whine, it sounds like your going as fast as you can in reverse??

Its really loud its only really loud in first gear then it get's more subtle 2nd then 3rd and so on, you cant really hear it by 5th, changed the diff oil today, no metal bits the oil was clean, and no change, So then we had all the wheels off the ground on the ramp at the garage drove it to 3000 rpm let go and No noise????? HELP!!!

 

could be gear box or a wheel bearing, brakes binding, or turbo unit,but id put my money on gear box , maybe no oil in it m8

Check power steering fluid level too, if it's low that can cause a whining noise as air gets into the system...

 

forgot to say its coming from the rear of the car...

 

mine is doing the exact same thing. ive booked mine in to get the diff oil changed. turn ur music up

 

i got that done yesterday and no change
