Hello people,

My gearbox finally let go last night, Its a 96 WRX Import and 5th gear was quite short, would a UK spec gearbox fit straight on or would modification be needed?
Is there much difference between the 2?

You would need to change the rear differential too. I think that's the only mod needed.

 

I second that, only a diff replacement required if the final drive ratio in the gearbox is different.

I presume you havent got DCCD, so a non DCCD gearbox swap should be straight as.
