Hi folks, first post so go easy on me I don't drive an Impreza much as I've got a Van for my work which comes with free fuel

I need to sell my wifes Impreza Sport Wagon (2000 Classic) to get a WRX (as I've convinced her we need something newer) as I've really enjoyed the few times I've driven her car but, obviously it needs more power !!

Problem is it crunches into 3rd and occasionaly 5th, when I mentioned it to her she said "Yeah, it's been doing that for a while". Clrearly I can't sell it like that as anyone test driving it would notice. I've done a scout about on here and discovered it's likely to be the baulk rings.

How easy is it to change these ? I did a couple of mini gearbox builds when I was younger, so know the princepals of how they work.

Can anyone point me in the direction of expolded diagrams, torque settings, guides etc.
