There are kits available these days.
You will have to replace the middle diff, so opening the gearbox is a must.
You can also take out the front drive shafts and put in some dummies. This is just the cleaner version and ABS can be still maintained.

You can but not to the same degree and your gearbox wont last as long !!!!!
