Those boxes are generally regarded as the strongest of the OE 5 speeds. If you've already broken one it could be false econony to get another. 6 speed is the next cheapest unfortunately

You will need the gearbox, prop, gear linkage, diff, drive shafts, hubs and brakes.
Basically the whole back end from a newage STi, if you use a uk 6 speed. On the other hand if you get a JDM 6 speed with a 3.9 final drive, you can use the rear diff from a v2 sti ra and use your existing hubs and shafts hth.

I stand to be corrected though

P1 has the R160 rear diff, but it also has the same 1:1 drop gears as the Sti5/6 and 4.44 diffs front and rear.
All UK classic boxes have 1.1:1 drop gears and therefore would require a different rear diff or different drop gears to work properly
6 speed similarly you need to make sure that front and rear diffs are compatible with the drop gears, but assuming that they are I believe that the Auto propshaft is a perfect fit for length. Anyway this is a potential minefield - best asking David at API engines(advertiser on here) as he is regularly doing this swap and has a stock of gearboxes

If you use a UK 6 speeder, you only need the box, shiftlinkage, propshaft and a reardiff with 3.54 ratio out of a MY99/00 UK WRX, I think they have this ratio as well as our european WRXs have!
I did my conversion this way and it is not much more work than changing 5 speeder against 5 speeder!

unless you go for new age, none of the uk standard box's are string enough at that sort of level.
i blew up mine and went for a ppg straight cut gearbox, prob the most expensive option, but keeps all the existing ratios, diffs etc

Hmmm I have to mention, that I had a V5 box with matching 4.44 reardiff on my car before the swap and then had to find a WRX diff with the 3.54 ratio, found it in the UK then!!!
