Has anyone in the UK had their cambelt changed on a UK turbo?

How much did it cost you? Mine is due in a few thousand miles.

Thanks

Hi

My MY98 is due for its 45k service which includes a cambelt change. I have seen quotes of £350 to £450 for this service from a dealer. The belt itself can be obtained from Graham Goode for approx £65. Fitting I beleive requires a special tool.

I am lucky though as I have a mate working for a tuning specialist whom tunes up Diablos for breakfast, lightens Porsche for lunch and pi55es out Optimax. He has offered to service the car for far far less than above.

Try this link for more belt info

Go to 'all modifications''Drivetrain' 'Timing belt'

This might help though its for a USA spec car.

Cheers

Neal

Had the cambelt changed on my MY98 a few months ago, along with a service and new front brake pads - £350 from a non-Subaru garage. The belt was about £110 on its own.
