Default Gearbox oil

I have a 1996 wrx sti v2 import and was wondering what would be a good gearbox oil to use and how much do you put in once drained?

i use castrol sintrax in a type r,
cant remember how much went.

Just under 4L for the box, just under 1L for the rear diff.
As above, castrol syntrax or 'driveline' is superb!

im about to do mine and am using Valvoline Durablend semi synth gl5 75/90 FOR £20 FOR 4 LITRES.
