It is a 4:444 diff ratio (40 / 9)
I am sure it is not a Subaru Diff. The open and viscous Subary diffs are not welded together like that.

The only person i know with in-depth knowledge is David at Welcome to the API website.

Try sending him the pics to his email.

Looks like one of the B/S LSD's that they put in standard P1's from the pics. They are completely welded construction so you cannot get them to bits to make a repair.

Even so, you cannot buy bits for them, even if you do grind the welds off to get it to bits. The main case cracks under the pressure generated inside and once cracked, it is a bin job.

thanx for clearing that up david, that diff as far as i know is ok, i have put new bearings in my diff(uk) but i broke the cap the bearings run round in(where the drive shaft goes in) so i paid for this diff just for that one piece, so this diff is not needed. i was just curious though this diff is nothing like my uk one.

Agree with david, I think its the Suretrac out of the P1 and some bugeyes the giveaway is the oil scoops, they are a nice road diff (better than a VC) but no good for motorsport! I'm sure you could sell it readily enough!
