Default 1995 Subaru Legcey TS-R RWD Rear Diff Replacement?

Hi,
Im new to this whole forumn thing a but yea, I got a 1995 Legcey TS-R Manuel cheap and put a new gearbox in and while we were there we rear wheel drived it, so I had a cheap respectble looking drifter but a bit guttless.

But we didn't upgrade the rear diff and as expected it has blown and I am keen to upgrade to something tougher probably out of a turbo subaru and hopefully LSD

I've opened my old diff up and theres more broken teeth than a dentists rubbish bin! Its a 3.9 ratio and I want to keep this the same. So just wondering what would fit and I don't mind changing the whole rear diff driveshafts and hubs etc if I have to. The chassis on my car is BD5.

Any advice would be awesome on what would or wouldn't fit

Cheers
Pete

The stock diff is an R160 which is fitted to nearly all Impreza, Legacy and Forester rear and will be a near straight fit for yours...the R180 is stronger but only fitted to the rear of some STi's and would need a lot more work to fit....
