Is there a common engine Oil that most of you seem to agree on, say like the majority of people prefere Toyo T1's & GY F1's.
I always used Mobile 1 in my pug but i think that might be to thin! Is the castrol GTX Magnatec 15/40w any good, + Oil filters, could you tell me how much an OE will cost
Thanks in advance for any advice

These 3 threads should keep you busy for over an hour or so. They will help you decide on what oil to use. Some of the best techies on here have contributed to these threads. IMHO every scoob owner should read them.

I've always used mobil 1 motorsport, just last weekend in fact
and it's got cheaper £29 now, used to be £33, minter, and I use
blue print oil filter at only £10. So not bad eh, £39 for an oil change, how much do dealers charge

Also, to make this information slightly more useful, where do you get you preferred oil(s) and how much do you pay for them?

Valvoline "Synpower" 5w/50 fully synthetic (top stuff) £18.99 for 4ltrs., OE oil filter £11.89 (absolute rip-off!)
Oil and filter change - £30.88!
