Torque increase please!!

Have my01 with ITG filter, ppp and scoobysport, car has good amount of power but saw Group N sub at motorsport show with massive torque figures.
Question is how to get more torque safely on road car (and not upset dealer to much), as I thought Group N cars were not heavily modified engine wise or am I talking b**locks.

Have a look back for a few weeks in Drivetrain - 300lbft thread by Hoppy recently has loads in about sticking with standard turbo or upgrading, different intercoolers etc etc.
My opinion - don't bother going much above 280bhp on a UK car. The rest of the car is not up to it - clutch, brakes, gearbox, wheels, tyres, suspension, intercooler amongst others. You would probably need a new turbo to go significantly over anyway. If you then go over the low-mid 300s I would worry about longevity of an engine without forged pistons. Just my 2p - others will disagree, but if you want to make a monster, a UK car is not the best base.
I will not do any more to mine - if I want more I will sell and buy an Evo if I want to mod (likely) or an M3 if I don't and want something depreciation resistant and grown up.

Thanks for advice John, I have thought about evo7 since recent test drive as an increase in performance, so will leave car as is with regards to further mods.

I agree with john here... your car is now a well balanced package, and if you go further, you will soon drown in lots of other upgrades needed to balance the rest of the car with the upped power.
Unless you like the idea of your car to become the wallet-magnet of course
