Hya,

I have a 1994 wrx import could anybody tell me what the maximum bhp I can go for before braking the gearbox and diff.

Life sort of depends upon mileage so far and previous use and service history.

As a general rule of thumb 350 hp would be a safe maximum But it is torque that kills boxes, not power. Probably safer to say 330 ft lbs at that car age.

Mine has just gone, twice and car is 332lbft, what can i do to get it reliable as want to take it to the ring next year and enjoy trackdays without worrying about it.

hi ive got the same prob with my 94 sti it eats gearboxes and i think its only got about 300bhp ish so if you find a reliable result let me know please as im sick of fitting new boxes. 4 in 2years

A PPG box is what you need. Run 700bhp on the drag strip all year
