HELLO ALL, i own a MY96 sti wagon. which totally refuses to start when the engine is up to working temperature. it starts with no problems when cold. i took it to the garage paid the money got the car back, worked okay for two days now i'd say it was worse than before. before the garage you could trick it into starting by turning the key quickly to the turn over position. it would fire. now even if you trick it the car will just not start when the engine is warm. i need help i'm travelling down south for the holidays soon if i stall thats us stuck! please can anyone assist me?

get a coolant temp sender in to start with

Exactly what I'd say, replace the temp sender on the water crossover pipe underneath the inlet manifold. Be very surprised if it was anything else.

Many thanks for replying i have ordered the part, the local scoob dealer is going to phone me when it arrives. hopefully that will be it cured. all the best guys.
