Question Need longer 5th and 6th gear

I have recently put a Japanese spec 6 speed STI gearbox in my classic but find 5th and 6th gear very short, too short for relaxed and economical high way cruising.
So the question: is there a way to change the cogs of the 5th and 6th gear to make them 'longer'? Or should this issue be solved in a different way?
Pleased to hear.
Tnks

Would imagine they can be changed, the UK 6 speed has a slightly longer 5th and 6th to the JDM.
Either change the gears or get a UK 6 speed.

There is like 13mph difference between the top gearing, its not really ott, unless you want to do over 170mph of course but I never in 3 years thought that the gearing was too short, top gear relates to slightly over that of a classic turbo, if you can live with a classic turbo (or new age wrx) then you should be able to live with a JDM 6 speed
Oh on an afterthought, you did change the rear diff also?

Thanks Tony, have to check on the rear diff but suppose the original 1994 diff is still fitted what would be the effect?

I bet the gearbox aint as low as the Type-R and Type-RA
5th gear (Top gear)
40mph 2k rpm
60mph 3k rpm
80mph 4k rpm
100mph 5k rpm
all the way up to
140mph @ 7k rpm
I havent tryed redlining it at 8k rpm

If you have the wrong diff on, i think it reduces the gearing, hence you have a problem but you need to check what diff you have, not sure how you tell though, model of scoob?
