Gearbox Getting Stuck in 3RD Gear
Took the car for an MOT this morning and on the way I went to change up from 3RD to 4TH gear . . . and was met with resistance.
Let the clutch back up and tried again . . Still no. Had to physically pull it into 4TH.
It then decided it wanted to do this circa once in every 5 changes. Have to force the change be it up or down the box. Feels horrible!
Whats going on guys ?

When I broke a woodruf key in mine I had the same symptoms, was fine driving miss daisy but any real effort and I lost gears. it started with one, then eventually couldn't get any of them. A limp to API resulted in a rebiult box. According to David at API a loose 5th gear nut started it all

Cheers for the reply Jay The cars going in to the garage end of next week for (another) MOT and service so hopefully find out one way or the other then. The gear selector had been suggested to me which i think is quite likely as for the last couple of thousand miles the box has been a bit whinney and I believe that to be the selectors too.
But thanks for the suggestion its worth a look. I hope it doesnt need a rebuild - I got right fleeced last time
Cheers dude
