Default Front Diff

Is this a seperate part, or is it connected to the gearbox?

Reason i ask, is because i am in the middle of changing all my fluids, and the info i got is..
4 litres fluid in the gearbox
0.8 litres in the rear diff
1.2 litres in the front diff

Which means 1 of 2 things...

if the gearbox and front diff are connected thn i will need 5.2 litres of fluid in the gearbox

Or if they are apart i need to find the drain plug and the filling plug on the front diff, which are nowhere in sight.
And put the fluid in seperate

Little help please

MY99 STI 5 Type-R BTW

front diff and gearbox are combined - so 3.8 litres is all you need in total - fill up is via the gearbox dipstick (do it very very slowly) to avoid air blockages.

Good Luck
